1. Overview

DAWG is a youth sports training marketplace. To operate and maintain the Platform—including scheduling, messaging, customer support, payments, fraud prevention, and app development—DAWG charges a platform fee on every completed booking.

This Policy outlines how fees are calculated and applied.

2. Platform Fee Structure

DAWG charges a fee on every booked session:

10% of the session price OR $5.00 minimum — whichever is greater.

3. Stripe Payment Processing Fees

Stripe processes all payments made on DAWG.

Stripe’s standard fees typically include:

• 2.9% of the transaction amount + $0.30 per payment

These fees:

• Are deducted before Trainer payouts

• May vary depending on Stripe’s pricing or card type

• Are charged directly by Stripe (not DAWG)

DAWG does not control Stripe’s fee structure.

4. Trainer Payout Calculation

The formula for Trainer earnings is:

Trainer Earnings = Session Price - DAWG Platform Fee - Stripe Processing Fees

Example:

Session price = $60
DAWG fee = $6
Stripe fee (approx.) = $2.04

Trainer payout = $51.96

Actual payout amounts are displayed in the Trainer’s earnings dashboard.

5. When Fees Are Charged

Platform fees are charged when:

• A Guardian successfully submits payment

• The booking is confirmed

• The session is not canceled under refund-eligible conditions

DAWG does not charge a fee if:

• The Trainer cancels the session

• A session is refunded due to a Trainer-related issue
   

6. Chargebacks & Disputes

If a Guardian disputes a charge:

• Stripe may reverse the payment (chargeback)

• The Trainer’s payout may be withheld during investigation

• Stripe may apply additional chargeback fees

• DAWG may suspend related Platform activity

Resolution timelines depend on Stripe’s dispute process.
 

7. Cancellation & Refund Scenarios

Platform fee behavior depends on who cancels and when:
 

7.1 Guardian Cancels (24+ hours before session)

• Full refund to Guardian

• No payout to Trainer

• No DAWG fee charged
   

7.2 Guardian Cancels (within 24 hours)

• Partial refund per Refund Policy

• Trainer may receive partial payout

• DAWG may collect its fee depending on session status
   

7.3 Guardian No-Show

• No refund issued

• Trainer receives full payout

• DAWG fee applies
   

7.4 Trainer Cancels

• Guardian receives full refund

• No payout to Trainer

• No DAWG fee charged

8. Fee Avoidance is Prohibited

To maintain Platform integrity, Trainers and Guardians may not:

• Arrange payment outside DAWG

• Share personal contact information to bypass DAWG

• Offer discounted “off-platform” sessions

• Request or accept cash or digital payments directly

Violations may result in:

• Account suspension

• Removal from the Platform

• Withholding of payouts

• Permanent ban

DAWG must enforce this to comply with Stripe’s marketplace requirements.

9. Updates to This Policy

DAWG may update this Policy at any time.
Changes become effective immediately upon posting at:

Users will be notified of significant updates through the app or by email.
