DAWG is a youth sports training marketplace that connects parents/guardians (“Guardians”) with independent sports trainers (“Trainers”).

• Full name

• Athlete (“Dawg”) profile details
   

2.2 Information About Dawgs (Minors)

Provided by their Guardian:

• Name

• Age

• Gender

• Sports played

• Positions

• Skill level (optional)

• Profile photo (optional)

Important:
DAWG does not allow minors to create accounts or manage their own data.

• Full legal name

• Phone number

• Email address

• Profile details

• Sports offered

• Services and pricing

• Photos

• Payout details (handled by Stripe)
   

2.4 Automatically Collected Data

• Device model & OS

• IP address

• Usage logs

• Location information (if allowed)

• Session history
   

2.5 Payment Information

DAWG does not store credit card numbers.

All payments are processed by Stripe, a Level 1 PCI-compliant provider.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

• Provide and operate the DAWG Platform

• Process session bookings

• Facilitate Trainer payouts through Stripe

• Display training availability

• Communicate via in-app messaging

• Send push notifications

• Improve app performance

• Enforce safety and conduct policies

• Prevent fraud and unauthorized activity

We may also use anonymized, aggregate data for analytics to improve user experience.
 

4. Sharing of Information

We share data only as needed to operate the Platform.
 

4.1 With Trainers

Guardians’ Dawg profiles, names, and session details are shared with Trainers only after a booking is initiated.

4.2 With Guardians

Trainers’ public profiles, service descriptions, history, and session details are visible to Guardians.
 

4.3 With Service Providers

• Stripe (payments)

• AWS (hosting, storage, logging)

• Apple / Google (push notifications, crash reports)

All third parties follow strict data security standards.

5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

DAWG is designed for youth athletes but not for use directly by children.

• Only adults may create accounts

• Guardians control all child data

• Children cannot log in, message, or manage sessions

• Data about minors is used only to deliver booked services

DAWG does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

6. Messaging & Communication Privacy

Messages between Trainers and Guardians are:

• Encrypted during transit

• Stored securely

• Monitored only for safety, abuse prevention, and moderation

Inappropriate content may result in account suspension.

7. Location Information

If enabled, DAWG may use approximate location for:

• Trainer search radius

• Geocoding addresses

• Session recommendations

Location services can be turned off at any time.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including:

• AWS secure hosting

• Encrypted passwords

• HTTPS for all data transmission

• Secure storage practices

• Stripe PCI compliance for payments

No system is 100% secure, but DAWG follows best practices.

9. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as your account remains active.

After account deletion:

• Transaction data may be retained for legal, financial, or fraud prevention purposes

• Messages may be retained for safety investigations

• Backups may hold residual data temporarily
   

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may request:

• Access to your personal data

• Correction of inaccurate data

• Deletion of your account

• Export of your data

Guardians may request removal of Dawg information at any time.

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion by emailing support@thedawgapp.com.

Deleting your account will:

• Remove your profile

• Disable future bookings

• Retain financial records as legally required
   

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page.
